May 27-June 2
This has always been an odd time of year. The semester’s grading and graduating all done, and I was usually full of ambitions for summer. It’s also the time of year - roughly - for the Costume Society of America’s annual meeting. It floated between early May and mid-June, depending on the exhibit schedule of the host institution. This year it is in Los Angeles, and I will be going by train from DC to LA, because that’s how I roll. Yes, that’s seven travel days for 48 hours of conference. Again, that’s how I roll.

1977 I gave my oral report last night. While it wasn’t a bomb, it could have been better. I think I treated the subject superficially. Of course, I’ll never know how I did until I get my final grade. It would be great to get an A in the course, but that doesn’t feel likely. 1 down, and 8 more to go. Incredible.

I hope CSA is wonderful. Oh so right - many of those to-do lists from decades ago could have been trashed.
Skinny dipping, oh my! Is it a thing in every generation or just ours I wonder?
