Went to Marcia’s for a pajama party. First we all went to the brook. All of us except H “fell” in. We danced a lot and at midnight went “skinny-dipping”. (Marcia, me, and two others.) Heh heh.

Let me tell you it was no mean feat skinny-dipping in water not even up to our knees. And COLD!

Home again, as last. Not back to normal yet, without Marley. Connie and Jack are coming to visit us in a few days, so the vacation continues.
I already practiced for a mere fifteen minutes. More is needed, but course, but the downstairs neighbors must be asleep, so I had to stop.
This has been a good vacation - - I am now ready to go back to work. It hasn’t been as tiring as I had anticipated. With all the visiting and driving and sleeping in strange beds, I am aware of only one sensation, That is the sense of emptiness that this house is still dogless! (That silly mongrel, who has managed to insinuate herself into our lives.)

We often referred to Marley (1970-1980) as our first kid, and that isn’t far from wrong. FWIW, we never did adopt any of my brilliant bike storage ideas.

Rhubarb is in my DNA
The Ancient Greeks called it Rha, the Scythian name for the Volga River. Centuries later, my Volga German great-grandmother turned its ruby abundance into pies and preserves.
Meanwhile, in West Yorkshire, the Barracloughs tramped the “Rhubarb Triangle” between Leeds, Wakefield, and Bradford.
So it happened that the tart crunch of spring rhubarb, dipped in a bowl of sugar between each bite, jangled the taste buds of a little girl in western Nebraska in JUST THE RIGHT WAY.
And here we are. I’m a Rhubarbarian

I apologize in advance for my approaching disappearance from the 1965 diary. There are a few entries in June, then I headed off to work at a Girl Scout camp and didn’t write again until August. See? Summer days back then really were different. But it’s ok; there are other adventures, big and small, popping up in other years. In fact, look what’s coming tomorrow!
Your bicycle idea is similar to what I've actually seen, hoisting the bike up overhead or higher on the wall.
Skinny dipping was popular in the late 60s, early 70s, as was pool hopping.
