Thanks to music videos I reconnected with pop music in the 1980's and stayed so more or less until the late 1990's. Since then I have been focused more on recordings from the 1950's and 60's. I can barely relate to what is popular today. It doesn't move me.

So...Nebraska? It sort of reminded me of you, and also Jesse Winchester. Also, I am just getting into Taylor Swift. I've always liked singer-songwriter stuff...

Me too. I play some Jesse Winchester songs in my solo sets: "Yankee Lady," "Payday," "Snow" and "Brand New Tennessee Waltz." I'm not all that familiar Springsteen, although I like it when I hear it.
