November 4
1978 Saturday morning. Jim is at work (the Christmas push has begun) and I am on my own, with lots to do. So far I have walked Marley, made a list, and read about a serf’s life under Charlemagne.
November 5
1976 Today started out ok. I finished prepping both lectures. Then I read the newspaper. Now I am showered and shampooed. Must decide how to get to campus. Bike or walk?
November 6
1981 This week was much more productive than last week. I’m finally out of the woods as far as outside commitments are concerned. Well, except for the college history exhibit that will go in next week. (Haha!) Someday I will learn not to volunteer for so much.

1977 It has been raining for a week; everything is drizzly and miserable. (Except me. I’ve been doing OK, despite the weather.) The Danforth application and the AHEA article have been moving along, slowly. I should be able to devote most of the weekend to those two projects. 1975 A warmish, sunny fall day, after the first hard frost. My head is in constant confusion. So many possible directions - so many things I remind myself to do every week and never do. 1975 It has to be 75 degrees out - an amazing, July-like day. Sometimes I get things done, sometimes I don’t.Yesterday I sewed a cover for the bolster, finished a blouse, got more done on my skirt, and sketched out an idea for a jumper. So actually I did quite a bit. Maybe I should try making lists; I’m never sure what I’m supposed to do each day. Then, …
