I love the sound of “plethora”, but it was so overused by undergraduates. Maybe it was an SAT review word back in the day? It was their go-to synonym for “many”. But a plethora is so much richer than that!

"Plethora" makes me laugh because it rhymes with "Amphora," another word I like, and because it makes me think about El Guapo's birthday party.
