So you remember that I played a Sousaphone in the Westwood High matching band? I was in grade 7/8 and pretty much the biggest kid in the section, so they gave me a kid-sized horn (the 9-12's got the regular size). It barely fit around me. I guess you could say that JP and I had a kind of "up close & personal" relationship.
I tried waking our kids up once with Sousa marches. It didn't work very well. In retrospect, I probably should have played some Black Sabbath instead.
It took me until 9:13 this morning to realize what a passive aggressive thing it was for Mom to do. Oddly enough, I still love me a Sousa March.
