Well, this journal went quickly. Of course, it’s thinner than most others. Also there came a time when I realized it didn’t fit in the drawer in my bedside table, so I became impatient to finish it. It’s been a most enlightening 10 months writing, with so many changes in my life. All is settled down now. I have a new routine as a well as a new daughter. Things don’t feel as topsy-turvy as I expected.

LOL. Enjoy it while you can!

Aunt Carol came out to visit and to stay with Mom while I covered my classes. That was a good thing. All Mom talked about today was killing herself; and I mean ALL. If she wasn’t sitting and figuring how to do it, she was berating me for not letting her do it. A very exhausting day.

Nine of Wands, again, tilted to the right. And I quote:
“She needs to be sure to not give out more than she can handle and still have enough to be able to regenerate her own energy.”
Words to live by!
2020 Last day on the train from California
Happy trails to you, Amtrak, until we meet again.
A good night’s sleep though Indiana, Ohio, and part of Pennsylvania. A pleasant morning watching the autumn colors fly by and the rivers flow to the sea. We are running late, but I don’t care.

I took a day off from writing yesterday and went to an informative (not too annoying) meeting in the morning, then a nice lunch, then a screening of the 10th anniversary concert version of Les Miserables. It was my third Les Mis this year. My Lit Flicks group watched the 1935 film a few months ago and it inspired me to read the book (audio book = 58 hours!!!!!!!). I know that Jean Valjean is the hero, but I find Javert to be the most fascinating character in the story. Charles Laughton’s portrayal of the dogged pursuer is brilliant.
I also finished another hat.

And a headband and a shawl in the last few days. And some good writing, too!
Charles Laughton's performances were always brilliant in my opinion. No one else portrayed Captain Bligh any better.
