I really do worry about time. It bothers me that I never seem to have time to do anything I want to do, just the things I HAVE to do. Jim needs to help more. Last night he didn’t do the dishes, so tonight (my turn) I did two night’s worth. I worry that I’ll end up with most of the responsibility for the kid.
(List of chores and assignments follows)
The things I do must be done all the time His things get done once in a blue moon. Like mopping the kitchen floor ( 8 months ago!!)
Well, I’ll just have to get more organized.
Tomorrow morning I sweep the bathroom and clean the bathroom sink.

Wow. Pregnant me was pretty intense.

Yesterday was so much fun! Blade Runner with Jim and Katie, then a quick bite and discussion at McGinty’s, then Franklin’s with even more friends. Then a 4-0 victory for the men’s soccer team.
This morning: laundry, a walk, meditation, and now some writing. Later today, RaOne, making brownies, and S and B’s anniversary party.

RaOne: a rare Indian superhero movie. American superhero movies need more dancing, IMHO.

Today I begin to reclaim my lost morning time.
FACT: to do a complete workout, shower, and self time = 90 minutes
FACT: most days, I can’t start until 9 am.
FACT: I am therefore not ready to begin work - at home or anywhere - until 10:30.
FACT: It is utter nonsense to plan to arrive on campus earlier than 12 or 1 pm on most days.
FACT: I get more writing done at home than in either office
So that is where the line must be held, if possible. It feels good to get my work done.
Life is very good, right now.

So was it in 1997 that I finally settled into my current habits? I guess we will see. And yes, I had two offices, since I had a split appointment between American Studies and the College Park Scholars living-learning program. Better than the year I had three.
