I am still on retreat in my mind.

1965

From what I hear, the Navy Band was great. That's nice (Sob)

I took gym for the first time in weeks today and I think I overdid it. We had tests on forward roll, backward roll, and handstand. I got a 5, 4, and 4+ respectively. 5+ is the best you can get.

Mr. W checked notebooks today and mine wasn't complete! Rats! He hinted that he'd check them again tomorrow.

1976

One more chapter to go, plus the intro and conclusion. Rather amazing. It is going well. I screwed up on a student’s design critique. Said DC’s design didn’t impress me because I was IGNORANT. So I gave her a B-, and she was mad, and she was right. I am changing it to an A-. She did a damn good job.

1986

I have never been a patient person.I went to the doctor’s office and had an official pregnancy test, and I am now Officially Pregnant. (Oh, boy!) Mostly I feel real good about it, except for not being able to tell Kiddo yet. Now I can get ready for my Atlanta trip with no distractions.

2003

Back at home. Yes, the war goes on. Yes, the dining room table was a mess. Yes, there are too many things to do. But I am still on retreat in my mind. No email yet. No computer games.
