It's nice to be able to stay home sometime. I watched T.V., took a nap, and (wonder of wonders) did my homework. The Rolling Stones (yech) were on "Shindig" but so were Jay and the Americas. They're pretty good. I like Jay, he's a good singer. But the Rolling Stones - Yech! What filth! "The Virginian" was fairly decent, but not that good. It gave me something to do, at least.

By now, it should be evident that my main criteria for judging bands was the number of attractive guys in them. Jay and the Americans 1, Rolling Stones 0. Also Jay Traynor had an awesome voice (Cara Mia) and Mick Jagger did not. Finally, Jay and the Americans were clean cut and prom-night sexy. The Stones were -- the Stones. At fifteen I was not ready for real rock 'n roll.

My cold is getting stronger, and I am shuffling along, trying to be ok. I have been less active since it landed on me, and it affects my energy.Today I am heading out for a walk, no matter what!

Busy day yesterday and today, a rarity here in Retirementland. I squeezed in a little writing in the morning, then had to deal with a suspected case of identity theft for my husband. After that, had a two-hour long Zoom interview about ungendered clothing. I feel just about done with interviews. It made me miss my weekly rehearsal with an early music ensemble, which made me grumpy. But dinner and a movie (Everythingeverywhereallatonce) with a friend made it all better.
It’s a long way from 1965 to 2023, I tell you.

Yesterday I was still a bit wobbly from oral surgery meds. Two hour-long naps - one at 11 a.m. - helped me enough that I made it to the Lea Morris concert last night. Her YouTube channel is the playlist I need some mornings.
I’m loving your journey.
