When I woke up I couldn't move. I went to Dr. Estrada this afternoon. Well, that lousy human arch got me an acute lumbar strain - a few pulled ligaments.
Guess what I missed? Another grass fire! Once more Dad was out with a broom. It wasn't our fault this time though. It was a lot worse than our fire of last Sunday. I couldn't go to the Senior Planning Board meeting, either. Phooey.

And so began a lifetime of back problems.

This exercise routine is making me feel so much better. It’s also helpful that the weather is nice enough that I can walk to campus every day.) The crocuses we planted last fall will bloom today or tomorrow. I am very ready for spring, despite having badly any winter at all. Only one snowfall deep enough to shovel.

We are ready to try for baby #2. My mind says, “yes, yes, no. YES, YES, yes, yes, no.” The “nos” are lazy Jo want things to be easy. The “yeses” are optimistic Jo wanting another child to love, despite the risks.
Everything else is going well, especially writing. Things do just seem to be jelling, at last. Four more articles accepted, one submitted, and one more in the works.

Another green spring day, bright and full of quiet energy. It seems so still, but beneath the surface there are small sounds and rustles and flickers of emerging life. A marvelous day. The kids are going to make it.
I am what I am, what I am is wonderful.

Yes, the kids made it.They are out in the world, adulting. They are who they are and what they are is wonderful. What we did wasn’t perfect - far from it - but it was apparently enough to get them started on their way.
