Music class was great! I played “Peasant Dance” so well that Mr. N said I didn’t have to play it anymore. He gave me two very hard pieces to play - “reverie” by Debussy and something by Schubert - something hard that is.
We had Miss H in Spanish - oh, well, it can’t be bad. That’s one more study hall I get, because she doesn’t know Spanish.
I’m so glad that “I Feel Fine” is number one on WABC, WMCA, and WINS. Whoopie!

WABC, WMCA and “1010, WINS, New York”. Those call letters bring back memories! When our parents weren’t home, Bob and I listened to Top 40 radio, usually one of the three big New York stations. My favorite was WABC, aka Musicradio 77, aka WA Beatles C, back then the most powerful; AM station in the country. This was true for their broadcast reach (the entire east coast on a good night) and their influence, especially with teens. Every Tuesday night, DJ Bruce Morrow (Cousin Brucie) announced the new top 20 songs as we sat glued to our transistor radios.
If you were a fan as well, stroll over to this WABC Musicradio 77 fan page that makes up in audio files what it lacks in twenty-first century design sense. And enjoy!
Did anyone notice that I had gotten over my disappointment in the Beatles? “I Feel Fine” was a lively blend of their old rock style and some new tricks by Lennon and Starr. All was forgiven.
