Last day of vacation! I went to Caldor again got three records (one for Bob, he’ll pay me back) and a book about guerrilla (?) warfare. The records I got were: The Seekers “I’ll Never Find Another You”, Herman’s Hermits “Mrs. Brown You’ve got a Lovely Daughter” and (Bob’s) Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders “Game of Love”.
O by the way - I saw V yesterday at a track meet. BIG DEAL!!!!! WHO CARES?

The joy of 49 cent records at Caldor! (They were 45 RPMs, the ones with the big hole in the middle.) What was I doing at a track meet on the last day of spring break, anyway? It was either my love of sports or the chance to see V in shorts. Hmmm. Tough choice.

Oh, the pain of teenage heartbreak. It took a while to get over my first real live crush. And I still stalk him on the internets

Tonight’s topic of discussion at my brother’s house: the relative merits of nostalgic pablum versus intellectually challenging content. Also: Nostalgic Pablum is an excellent band name.

Two posts about my brother. It’s been five years since our last visit. The universe is pinging me.

More COVID tedium. 2020 was such a year, wasn’t it? I was interested in learning how to edit videos for our church services on YouTube. Talked to the person in charge (J) and decided this was not a thing I could learn right now. Instead, I volunteered to be a chat nanny for the live stream. Because of all the hoards of evil doers wanting to disrupt Unitarian Universalist worship services.
Current situation:
I am still using a Bullet Journal variation. So I can tell you that today I plan to
Write (done!)
Make rhubarb trifle (done!)
Tidy the public spaces for company tonight
Make Parmesan rice with
children(chicken! What kind of monster do you think I am?)Knit (done and yet never done, as I am already planning my next project.
Contact my brother and try to figure out the cheapest way from Silver Spring, Maryland, to Callander, Ontario. (Stupid Amtrak and Ontario Northland have messed me up.)
Thank you , Ryan. Rain or not, I wish I were in Toronto, just a few hours from my big brother. Plotting my getaway!
I genuinely adore this newsletter. Such a treat to read on a rainy Sunday morning here in Toronto. Thanks for sharing!
